Domestic: We recommend that you reconfirm all flights prior to departure and at each point of stopover. This will give the airline the opportunity to keep you advised of any changes that may have occurred during your flight.
International: You must reconfirm continuing or return reservations at least 72 hours prior to flight time at each point or stopover, or your reservations may be automatically cancelled.
We suggest the following check-in times:
Domestic: 1 hour prior to departure.
International: 2 hours prior to departure.
NOTE: Check-In later than these times could result in denied boarding or luggage misconnection.
Overland transfers from airports, docks, or other points of debarkation are strictly regulated by local, state, and federal regulations in the country of debarkation. It is the Traveler's responsibility to read his/her transfer operator's instructions carefully, and to abide by the directions given. If your transfer operator fails to meet you at the designated location, please contact that transfer operator directly in the city of debarkation in accordance with the transfer directions. TravelFrom.com shall not be held responsible for any missed transfers.
Airline flights and cruises may be overbooked. A person denied boarding a flight or cruise due to overbooking may be entitled to compensation from the airline or cruise line. The rules for denied boarding compensation are available at the airline/cruise line ticket counters.
Hotels might be overbooked. A person denied lodging due to overbooking may be entitled to compensation from the hotel. The rules for denied lodging compensation are available at the hotel reception desk, and may also be included with your travel documents.
Other travel providers might be overbooked. A person denied service due to overbooking may be entitled to compensation from the supplier. The rules for denied service compensation are available from the main contact of the service provider, and may also be included with your travel documents.
7. CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS:
To change or cancel your flight or cruise itinerary, call TravelFrom.com or the airline/cruise line that you are scheduled to board. If canceling, return the unused tickets to TravelFrom.com for credit or refund. Most special excursion and discount tickets have various travel restrictions, and may involve a penalty for change or cancellation. Be sure you understand these restrictions. If you change your plans enroute, ask the airline/cruise line to apply the value of your unused ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket. If a refund is due, obtain a receipt from the airline/cruise line. If you are holding guaranteed hotel reservations, which you may wish to cancel, notify the hotel as soon as possible. Deposits and prepayments are subject to the hotel's cancellation policy.
PLEASE NOTE: All changes or cancellations are subject to a minimum $50 per person fee.
Airline and other travel supplier's insurances have limited liability. Your personal insurances may not adequately cover losses incurred by cancellations, accidents, illness, stolen or damaged property, or even inclimate weather. We strongly urge you to purchase additional insurance available from us or other licensed agents.
9. LOST TICKETS:
Lost, stolen or destroyed tickets must be paid for until refund is obtained from the issuing airline/cruise line, subject to any imposed service charge.
10. SERVICE CHARGES:
A service charge of $25 will be charged on any returned checks, plus cost, as allowed by law. Discounted tickets requiring refund or changes usually incur a minimum $100 fee, but may be much higher, depending on the rules and fees particular to the airline involved. All discounted tickets are non-endorsable and non-refundable except through us, as the issuing agent.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF AIRLINE BANKRUPTCIES
Hopefully there will not be any more airline bankruptcies, but it has to be recognized that they might occur. You should know they might affect you.
1. If an airline declares bankruptcy, it is not obligated to carry you, or refund tickets issued before the bankruptcy.
2. Travel agents are not allowed to refund tickets on an airline which has declared bankruptcy. Money given to a travel agency immediately becomes the property of the airline involved, and travel agencies are required, by federal law, to comply with the airline's orders.
3. If any airline declares bankruptcy, it might continue service, provide limited service, or stop service completely. Other airlines might accept passengers under limited circumstances, or may refuse to accept any passengers to protect themselves in case of airline bankruptcies.
